This morning I guided the same morning group I had yesterday. We caught 30 Chum and 1 Silver. The river was a bit lower and was starting to clear up.
After my morning trip I drove home and got my mom, wife and kids and went back to the Little Su for some more Chum action. The kids were wanting to fish and catch something so what better time than now. We only fished about an hour or two and caught about 5 or 6 Chum. But that was enough to tire out both kid's arms. It also was my wife's first time in a boat since her hip surgery and she also managed to land a good sized Chum. Hopefully next time those fish will be Silver Salmon!
This morning I took a group of 4 experienced fisherman and they all caught some fish. We ended up landing 3 Silvers and 4 Chum. This group will try their luck again tomorrow
I also had an afternoon group of 2 clients who wanted to catch and release some fish. We managed to catch and release 29 Chum and kept 1 silver. We also lost about 8 all in 4 1/2 hours before all our arms had enough for one day. This was an awesome trip.
Well, With the King season cut short all over the mat-su valley it's time to gear up for silver season. My goal is to only fish one trip a day starting July 23rd to Aug. 9th. I have most of the days booked but have about 5 more open days to fish. So if your interested in fishing with me this year I would suggest to call and get a spot soon.
